Caroline Cotto is a French visual artist, born in Nice in 1991. She studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands, where she began exploring various mediums, with a particular focus on color. Her artistic journey has been shaped by life across several European cities — including Nice, Paris, Eindhoven, London, Lisbon, and Rome — each enriching her unique sensitivity to light and color. These experiences continue to influence her intuitive approach and inspire a sense of openness in her work. Caroline’s paintings explore the balance between movement and rootedness, using color and landscape to evoke feelings of home, belonging, and emotion. Inspired by travel and nature, her work merges the familiar with the unknown, inviting viewers to reflect on inner and outer landscapes. She has exhibited her work in both solo and group shows, including Design Museum Gent (2021), Tripostal Lille (2021), Solarium Marseille (2022), and Centre Culturel la Coupole in La Gaude (2023). Caroline is currently based between Nice and Lisbon, continuing to explore and evolve her practice.
