Theresia Malaise (Antwerp, Belgium) develops her pictorial practice from a life experience marked by displacement, observation, and constant searching. After twelve years of travel, her work is currently situated in a Mediterranean environment, where the studio is configured as a space of continuity within that journey. Painting operates as a place of temporary permanence, from which to reflect. She studied art both in Belgium and Spain and combines painting with teaching.
