Lotus Krabbé (born 2001, Amsterdam) is a Dutch painter based between Amsterdam and Antwerp. Krabbé’s work grows from dream sequences and silent moments from everyday life. She draws on memories, wishes, and half-remembered moments, transforming them through her lens into paintings that blend the familiar and the imagined. Her images often feel as if they belong to a private world just beyond the present. Each painting holds a sense of being inside that world: a place shaped by longing, sadness, and quiet contemplation. Krabbé uses painting to hold on a little longer to all that fades too soon—the fleeting image, the dream you remember in the middle of the day, or all wishes that you ever made, but don’t know where they went.
