Magdalena Paz (1990) is a Chilean artist based in Berlin, Germany. Growing up she lived in Nigeria, Argentina, Venezuela, Egypt, Russia, Mexico, Italy, USA, and Chile, arriving in Germany in 2013. She received her B.F.A. as a transfer student from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA in 2012. Between schools, she pursued sculpture and portraiture training from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago, Chile, and the upon moving to Germany in 2013, she studied Illustration at Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule. The artists work unfolds between acrylic painting, sculpture, and ceramics. In these forms she explores body gesture and presence in space to relate to ideas.
