Johanna von Oldershausen is a collage artist based in Berlin. For her, collage is not merely an artistic technique, but a playful and experimental way of thinking. She takes images and fragments out of their original contexts, rearranging and recombining them to create new meanings. She is particularly interested in the moment when something familiar loses its fixed meaning and transforms into something entirely different.Fragments become new connections, photographs evoke memories, shadows take on independent forms, and body fragments evolve into hybrid figures. Through this process, Johanna von Oldershausen creates layered, often surreal visual worlds that explore perception, identity, and the boundaries between reality and imagination.
