I am Nikolina Karoulla, a Greek Cypriot artist from Cyprus. Growing up in a divided country has deeply influenced my understanding of identity, memory, connection, and separation. Working across painting and printmaking, I combine personal photographs, layered surfaces, colour, and expressive marks to explore memories and emotions that are often difficult to express in words. My work reflects the fragmented, shifting nature of memory, existing between presence and absence, clarity and uncertainty.
