Gabrielle Bejani (b.1995) is a French born, Lebanese artist based in London. She studied FineArt and History of Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, before completing her MFA at the Slade School of Fine Art in 2023. Working primarily in mixed-media paper collage, she uses ink, Watercolour, and fragments of everyday life, to create dreamy figurative compositions. Grounded in the understanding that the personal is political, her practice explores the emotional politics of vulnerability and dignity in the context of exile, belonging and dispossession. Her work reflects upon the emotions inherent in the struggle to sustain a sense of self, pride, and agency whilst trying to survive in a world of political chaos.
