Graduated from RCA (MA Painting) in 2023. Lives and works in London. I see my works as nature-based spaces that deliberately disrupt the artifice of landscape and the language used to exploit the natural world. Paint, pastel and pencil are layered through a process of application and erasure that mimics the formation of land and the stories it holds, with drawing used as a means to make whole. I try to paint portraits of environments as I imagine they might be: without hierarchy, in which everything is connected. I’m interested in spaces that resist idealisation and refuse to be fully understood. My work speaks of a longing for reconnection and of finding new ways to be in the world.
