Emma Alexandra is a South African artist based in Brighton, UK. She has always been drawn in by people and our capacity to feel- the intimate and sensual moments that seem small but can feel like worlds of their own. She is inspired by these feelings, the connection to the self, and how it feels to be connected to someone- how it might feel to understand each others inner world. She explores this through capturing intimate close ups in her paintings, creating  gentle yet expansive spaces where the figures are soft and dreamy, where  lines between what is human and spirit are blurred.
