Carina Chang is a visual artist based in Berlin, Germany. Her work explores the constructs of identity, sexuality and belonging. She uses painting to reconstruct domestic rituals and examine orientalist narratives that are passed down through family histories, displacement, and colonialism. Using archives, relics, and references in art history and literature, her work seeks to question memory to understand generational trauma and work towards vulnerability.
