Maxine Todd is a Scottish artist based in Glasgow, working across painting, drawing and printmaking. Her practice is diary-like, with the work beginning with fragments of everyday life, as well as images and ideas encountered through film and literature. These starting points are filtered through memory and emotion, becoming transformed through the act of painting into something more ambiguous and dreamlike. She recently completed the Turps Summer Intensive in London and continues to develop a painterly practice rooted in the poetry of the everyday.
