Constanza Marquez (born in Argentina, 1990) is a multidisciplinary artist and designer living and working between Spain and Portugal. Having lived in different parts of the world, her practice has been shaped by diverse landscapes and cultural environments. Growing up in rural landscapes deeply influenced her sensitivity to the natural world, which continues to guide her artistic path. Through painting, she explores materials, natural processes, and ancestral knowledge. Her work reflects on the relationship between nature, spirituality, and time, understanding artistic practice as a space for stillness and reconnection. Materiality plays a central role in her work. She works with mineral pigments, charcoal, oil sticks, plant dyes, and natural inks on raw canvas. She also creates many of her own materials, often gathering elements directly from the landscape as a way to connect with the land.
