Julia Rehme is a visual artist based in Berlin. Her abstract-expressionist works explore gesture, perception and intuitive mark-making on raw canvas and paper. After more than a decade working in abstract tattooing, she shifted fully to painting, working between control and spontaneity to create subtle yet energetic compositions. Working with fluid paints, oil pastels and graphite on raw surfaces, she embraces the visibility of each trace, allowing the process itself to remain present in the finished work.
